Hand wash, perfumes, chlorine, detergents, and oils can sometimes cause tarnishing or damage to the surface finish of your jewellery. Apply scents or cosmetics before you put on any jewellery to avoid this. It is sensible not to wear jewellery whilst swimming, bathing, showering, doing household tasks or whilst exercising. Store your jewellery separately so it doesn’t rub and scratch against each other.
Silver
Over time silver can tarnish if not probably cared for, you may notice a slight change in colour and brightness. Most of the time this can be rectified with a good quality silver polishing cloth.
Gold
Although gold is more hard wearing than silver, I still recommend following the steps above to ensure you get the most out of our piece. Gold polishing cloths are also available to help bring your jewellery back to life.
Black Rhodium Plated (Sterling Silver) Plating
This is a semi-permanent finish and overtime can slowly fade revealing the silver metal beneath. Please take extra care with your black rhodium jewellery and DO NOT use any polishing cloths as these are lightly abrasive. Longevity cannot be guaranteed as this is the responsibility of the customer.
